Biography

Cartrell Daniels, youngest of 2 children was born June 26, 1983 in Los Angeles where he fell in love with music and acting at a young age. His mother was born in North Carolina and his father in Los Angeles. His mother moved to California in her early 20's where she met his father. Acting since 2010, Cartrell has been part of comedic projects for College Humor and Comedy Central, feature films including I hate my neighbor and Stronghold. Theater work in plays such as Its a wonderful life and Museum of living art. Along with acting he has a deep love for Music Production. Even though he grew up in Los Angeles some of his earlier influences were from the east coast. He was a huge fan of the emcees and producers coming out of New York. From the likes of Nas, Pete Rock, Large Professor, RZA, DJ Premier, Q-tip, Mobb Deep and so on. His other major influences were Dr. Dre, Outkast, Daz Dillinger, DJ Quik, Ice Cube, Kurupt, 2pac and many more. As a lover of film and TV he also produces soundtrack music and scores for various projects. Some of his favorite composers are John Williams, James Newton Howard, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore and many others. These days you can find him at a random coffee shop choppin up beats or in line ordering a burrito from the local Mexican restaurant.
